Architecture 2030

I learned in the studio theory hour, that there is more to the world then just what we know and see.  If we were an animal or a part of nature such as a storm then we would see things in a different way.  We need to think about the future and what we are doing to the environment.  If we think holistically and can remodel the preexisting buildings and not tear them down to build new ones then we would reduce the amount of carbon.

Project Issues

Some issues with our projects are us trying to only focus on one idea.  We are trying to do too many things to our project that distract our attention from the main thing we are trying to focus on.  We also need to get our scale more appropriate, such as, if our twigs are smaller then make sure that the project fits the the size of the twigs.  When we think about the design and the visualization aspect of our project then we need to make sure that the pattern, form, and materials all go right with the project.  Also our binding agent needs to work well with our project.  Don't just stick some tape on there, make it presentable in the project.

Song Lyrics

My favorite song is Johnny and June by Heidi Newfield.
We had to write the lyrics to our favorite song.

Pencil Holder

This pencil holder reminds me of my project because the sticks go through the holes just like these pencils do.
The holder is also like my project because there are two inserts.

A Place for a Leaf

I took two characteristics of the leaf to design the place. The leaf has very strong vein ridges, so I scored the paper to get the same feel if you rubbed your hand on the paper and leaf. Also the leaf curls up around the sides, so I swirled the paper around the leaf.
